These canvas espadrilles are handmade in Spain and feature an adjustable slingback ankle strap and sit on a comfortable medium wedge made from natural jute. All our organic canvas is made from natural fibers and is certified. This helps us reduce water and energy consumption, minimize waste and decrease chemical usage in the manufacturing process.

Sustainable Inner Leather

Our shoes are crafted from Leather Working Group Certified Leather. This ensures fair and safe working conditions for all involved in the production process while ensuring sustainable materials and low-impact dying for less pollution.

Natural Jute

Eco-friendly biodegradable fiber extracted from white jute plant, which absorbs CO2, releases O2 and enriches soil when rotated.

Remember, you should never use the washing machine to clean espadrilles, as the Jute will shrink and lose its elasticity.

Wash The Canvas

Cleaning canvas espadrilles couldn’t be easier. Just follow these four simple steps:

Dampen a brush or sponge with slightly soapy water.

Delicately dab the stain, taking care not to rub too hard.

Finish off by rinsing the espadrilles gently with a damp cloth.

Leave them to air dry (never put them in the dryer) but make sure to keep them out of direct sunlight to stop the colors from fading.

Wash The Jute

To clean this crucial shoe component, gently wipe with a damp, mildly soapy sponge, using small motions to avoid unraveling the jute. For odor elimination, sprinkle talcum powder in the shoes and leave overnight. With regular maintenance, these durable and comfortable shoes will endure season after season, remaining in excellent condition.

I think it runs a little small. I usually wear size 81/2 or 9. I order the larger size 9 for sandals because I can adjust the strap, however the 9 was almost too small; a little smaller than what I am comfortable with, but I’ve worn them so now I own them!

Absolutely comfortable and just gorgeous!

I am a fan of open toe and sling back wedges but used to find them uncomfortable. Especially the sling back ones usually hurt my ankle and I end up having blisters. I purchased these wedges on Amazon.com and I was skeptical about the comfort. When they arrived, I immediately tried them on and Wowwww, I found them amazingly comfortable. I always wear size 5.5 for pumps in the US. Size 5.5-6 for Viscata fits perfect. I have a couple of other models by Viscata and they are all my favorite comfy shoes even though they are classic and elegant. I purchased these wedges in navy and I’m going to purchase one more pair in beige. They are just gorgeous!

Cute Summer Wedge!

I really like the Gavina wedge, peep toe sling back. I got them in bright pink and plan to them all summer. The website said if you are between sizes to size up, which I did. They fit perfectly. In addition, they are very comfortable and I have received numerous compliments. I was impressed with the customer service, fast shipping, and delivery. This is my third pair of shoes from this company, and I have not been disappointed. The website ordering is easy as well.

More comfortable!

I’m glad I tried Viscata again. I have a great pair of wedges that I bought a few years back, but the inner sole lining is not comfortable. They seem to have changed the fabric on the bottom and these are now much more comfortable. I wish I could exchange my other wedges for the improved inner sole liner.

Beautiful but not for plantar fascitis

If you don't have foot issues like needing extra arch supply for plantar fascitis or flat feet, these are probably a good buy. The quality seems very good otherwise. Normal to narrow width: I have somewhat wide feet, but my feet still slide around in wide sizes, and these squeezed a little bit. So if you usually buy wide sizes, I feel these are definitely too narrow for you.
